Wall of Honor

To honour those who served during 9/11, we swapped celebrity photos in NYC pizzerias with living first responders to create “Walls of Honor.”

For many Americans, 9/11 has become a distant memory, or something only known to them as excerpts in school textbooks. But for the thousands of first responders who put their lives on the line, 9/11 continues to haunt them each day as they pay for their brave service with their health.

To mark the 23rd remembrance of the September 11th attacks, we partnered with the FealGood Foundation and some of New York's most well-known pizzerias to replace their iconic celebrity photo walls with photos of 9/11 responders still dealing with health issues today.

New Yorkers and netizens alike applauded the campaign, and some pizzerias even committed to bringing the photos back for an annual showing every September.
